Operating Instructions 1. Know Your Machine This compact washing machine is probably smaller than machines you have used in the past. It washes less clothes and requires less detergent. You will probably use the machine several times before you find the perfect amount of detergent needed for the amount of clothes you wash. We recommend . 9 ounces of powdered detergent or 1.4 ounces of liquid detergent per 8 gallons of water. To help you, below please find a chart illustrating suggested detergent amounts per pounds of clothes washed. Detergent Chart XQB40-F Garment Weight In Pounds 8.8 To 4.4 Pounds 4.4 To 2.2 Pounds 2.2 Pounds And Below Water Level High (10.6 Gallons) Medium (8.5 Gallons) Low (6.3 Gallons) Recommended Amount of Powdered Detergent 1.2 Ounces (1 1/4 oz) I Ounce 71 Ounces (3/4 oz) Recommended Amount of Liquid Detergent 1.9 Ounces (Less than 2 oz) 1.52 Ounces (11/2 oz) 1.13 Ounces (Link over 1 oz) Please note that since less water volume is used, it is more difficult for machine to dissolve powdered laundry detergent. When using powder. we suggest you set water level to low, all detergent and dissolve it, Then add clothes, reset and select appropriate water level. You may find it easier to use liquid laundry detergent. Do not overload your machine. The machine has a 8.8 pound washing capacity. To give you an idea of weight for typical laundry items, please note the following: Laundry Item Cotton bath towel Linen shirt Cottot T-shirt Cotton socks Pants Jacket Cotton underwear Bed sheet Approximate Weight .75 pound (3/4 Ib.) .44 pound (less than 1/2 lb.) .33 pound (1/3 lb.) .11 pound (1/10 lb.) 1 to 1 1/2 pounds 1.1 to 1.6 pounds (1 to 1 1/2 lb.) .11 pound (1/10 lb.) 1.1 pound Of course all garments are different and have different weights (jeans weigh more then light pants), over time you will get to know your machine and its limits. We suggest that you balance the load in your machine.and start with heavier garments toward the bottom of machine. If machine rocks excessively during spin cycly, open lid and redistribute garments to find a better balance. 6
