Step 15. Verify printer setup The easiest way to verify that the installation has been completed successfully is to print a document from a software application. 1 Open a software application of your choice and open or create a simple document. 2 Select the Print command in the software application. (Typically, you can select this command by clicking File, and then clicking Print.) The Print dialog box for the software application appears. 3 Make sure the correct printer name appears in the Print dialog box. 4 Print the document.
