Jams in the duplex path Causes for jams in the duplex path Cause Media does not meet specifications. Duplex feed guides or duplex feed rollers are dirty. Duplex feed rollers are worn or damaged. Duplex feed roller drive gears are worn or damaged. Duplex feed guides are damaged. Timing belts are defective. Solution Make sure the media meets specifications for duplex printing and that the media has been stored correctly. Clean the rollers with a damp, lint-free cloth. Remove any debris from the duplex feed guide. Replace the ETB unit. Calibrate the printer after replacing the ETB. See Calibrate now (HP Color LaserJet 5500 models only). Replace the ETB unit.
