D2D housekeeping configuration It is a standard best practice with HP D2D Backup Systems to schedule housekeeping (space reclamation) to occur outside of backup windows to ensure there is no I/O contention on the device and ensure maximum backup performance. To set the Windows when housekeeping should be allowed to run, proceed as follows: 1. From the Web Management interface select Administration - Housekeeping. Up to two periods per day may be selected when housekeeping must not run (blackout).
