If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the top cover (see Top cover on page 27). 5. Remove the system board (see System board on page 39). To remove a memory module: 1. Position the system board upside-down. 2. Press in on either side of the memory cover close to the edge of the system board (1). 3. Lift the cover off the system board (2). 4. Spread the retaining tabs (1) on each side of the memory module slot to release the memory module.
