(2) Internal microphones (2) Record sound. (3) Ambient light and color sensors Adjust the brightness of the display, depending on the ambient light, and manages and controls the color temperature. Color temperature enables you to measure and adjust the warmth or coolness of the light source. NOTE: Do not cover the sensor. The display brightness adjusts if the sensor notices light change. (6) User-proximity sensor Uses the Auto Lock and Awake feature to monitor your presence in front of the computer to save power and add security. When you step away from the computer, the proximity sensor puts the computer into the Sleep state. When you return to the computer, the sensor recognizes you and wakes the computer automatically. Auto Lock and Awake is turned on by default. If you also want to set up facial recognition log-in for Auto Lock and Awake, see Windows Hello (select products only) on page 50. (7) WWAN antennas (select products only)* Send and receive wireless signals to communicate with wireless wide area networks (WWANs). *The antennas are not visible from the outside of the computer. For optimal transmission, keep the areas immediately around the antennas free from obstructions.
