2. Position the computer upright. 3. Starting at the bottom right corner, use a tool (1) to release the cover from the computer 4. Run the tool along the bottom, left, and right edges (2) to release the cover. 5. Lift the front edge of the keyboard/top cover (1) as far as the keyboard cable and touchpad cable allow. 6. Release the zero insertion force (ZIF) connector (2) the touchpad board cable is connected to, and then disconnect the touchpad cable from the system board. 7. Release the shielding (3) that covers the keyboard cable ZIF connector. 8. Release the ZIF connector (4) the keyboard cable is connected to, and then disconnect the keyboard cable from the system board. 9. to release the cover from the computer

Run the tool along the bottom, left, and right edges
(2)
to release the cover.

Lift the front edge of the keyboard/top cover
(1)
as far as the keyboard cable and touchpad cable
allow.
6.
Release the zero insertion force (ZIF) connector
(2)
the touchpad board cable is connected to, and
then disconnect the touchpad cable from the system board.
7.
Release the shielding

that covers the keyboard cable ZIF connector.
8.
Release the ZIF connector
(4)
the keyboard cable is connected to, and then disconnect the
keyboard cable from the system board.

Release the ZIF connector
(5)
the keyboard camera cable is connected to, and then disconnect the
