■ Lift the lock bracket out of the computer. To install the lock bracket, reverse this procedure. Display assembly To remove and disassemble the display assembly, use these procedures and illustrations. NOTE: The display assembly is spared at the subcomponent level. For display assembly spare part information, see the individual removal subsections. Before removing the display panel, follow these steps: 1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 25). 2. Remove the top cover with keyboard (see Top cover with keyboard on page 25). 3. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 33). Remove the display assembly: 1. Disconnect the webcam module cable (1) from the system board. 2. Remove the Phillips M2.0 × 2.9 screw (2) that secures the WLAN module and bracket to the system board. (The WLAN module tilts up.) 3. Remove the WLAN bracket (3). The WLAN bracket is included in the Bracket Kit, spare part number N38891-001. 4. Disconnect the two WLAN antenna cables (4) from the terminals on the WLAN module. NOTE: The #1/white WLAN antenna cable connects to the WLAN module #1/Main terminal. The #2/ black WLAN antenna cable connects to the WLAN module #2/Aux terminal. 5. Release the shielding (5) that covers the display panel cable connector. 6. Before removing the display panel, follow these steps:

2.
Remove the top cover with keyboard (see

3.
Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see

).
Remove the display assembly:
1.
Disconnect the webcam module cable

from the system board.
2.
Remove the Phillips M2.0 × 2.9 screw

that secures the WLAN module and bracket to the system
board. (The WLAN module tilts up.)
3.
Remove the WLAN bracket

4.
Disconnect the two WLAN antenna cables
