AppleTalk Protocol Information Information in this section of the Jetdirect configuration page (Ethernet Only) is described in Table 9.9. For error messages, see Table 9.11. Table 9.9 AppleTalk Configuration Information Message STATUS: NAME: ZONE: TYPE: NETWORK NUMBER: NODE NUMBER: Description Indicates the current AppleTalk configuration status. READY: Indicates the HP Jetdirect print server is awaiting data. DISABLED: Indicates that AppleTalk was manually disabled. INITIALIZING: Indicates that the print server is registering the node address or name. An additional status message may also be displayed. An error code and message is displayed if the print server is not ready. For more information, see Table 9.11. The name of the printer on the AppleTalk network. A number after the name indicates that there are multiple devices with this name, and this is the Nth instance of the name. The name of the AppleTalk network zone on which the printer is located. The type of the printer being advertised on the network. Two types can be displayed. NETWORK NUMBER: Identifies the AppleTalk Network Number on which the HP Jetdirect print server is currently operating. NODE NUMBER: Identifies the AppleTalk Node Number that the print server chose for itself as part of its initialization sequence.
