To optimize SCSI bus performance, this option should be set to Enabled when two or more SCSI devices are connected to the host adapter. Set the option to Disable to achieve slightly better performance when only one SCSI device is connected to the SCSI bus. Read Write I/O Timeout This option lets you enter a read write timeout value in seconds for the (sec) device. Scan for Device at Boot This option lets you specify whether the device is scanned for at boot Time time. The choices are Yes or No. Scan for SCSI LUNS More advanced SCSI devices can have several logical units (LUNs). This option lets you specify whether SCSI LUNs are scanned for at boot time. The choices are Yes or No. Queue Tags Format Disk This option lets you specify whether queue tags are enabled or disabled. In a multi-tasking environment this option must be enabled. It should only be disabled for troubleshooting. This utility can be used to perform a low-level format of a hard disk. Most SCSI disks are pre-formatted and do not need low-level formatting. Verify Disk Media This utility scans for media defects on the selected SCSI device. Press the key to abort this utility. Exiting from the Configuration Utility To exit from the Configuration utility, press the necessary number of times to return to the Main menu, and then press to quit. English 121
