Chapter 1 Preparing the HP NetServer for Rack-Mounting Removing the Pedestal The pedestal version of the HP NetServer LC 2000 mounts to an anti-tip pedestal, which can be easily removed, if necessary. NOTE The front bezel is shown removed, but the bezel may remain on the chassis while removing the pedestal. 1. Disconnect all cables connected to the rear of the NetServer that would limit its rotation before continuing. 2. Turn the NetServer over onto its top and pull up on the two tabs as shown in Figure 1-3. Figure 1-3. Removing the Pedestal 3. Slide the pedestal to the rear of the NetServer as shown in Figure 1-3. 5

Removing the Pedestal
The pedestal version of the HP NetServer LC 2000 mounts to an anti-tip pedestal,
which can be easily removed, if necessary.
NOTE
The front bezel is shown removed, but the bezel may remain on
the chassis while removing the pedestal.
1.
Disconnect all cables connected to the rear of the NetServer that would
limit its rotation before continuing.
2.
Turn the NetServer over onto its top and pull up on the two tabs as shown
in Figure 1-3.

Slide the pedestal to the rear of the NetServer as shown in Figure 1-3.
