Simplify the HP NetServer configuration to the minimum required: a monitor, one flexible and one hard disk drive and a keyboard. Remove all third-party options, and reinstall one at a time, checking the system after each installation. 3. Boot the system. If the system does not function, refer to the following procedures. If you get an error message, see the section "Error Messages." If the System Will Not Power On Follow these steps: 1. Check to ensure that all cables and power cords are firmly plugged into their proper receptacles. 2. Check to ensure that all parts of the system are turned on and properly adjusted. 3. If the server is plugged into a switched multiple-outlet box, make sure the switch on the outlet box is turned on. 4. Plug a different electrical device (such as a printer) into the power outlet, and turn it on. 29
