What is not covered by this warranty? Can I predict when my HP Netserver is going to have a problem? HP warrants all the software media that comes with your HP Server/HP Netserver for NINETY (90) DAYS from the date of purchase. During the 90-day warranty period, if the software fails to install and/or configure your HP Server/HP Netserver due to the software media, customer's remedy will be either (1) a replacement, or (2) a refund of the purchase price (license fee) if HP is unable to replace the media within 10 business days upon return of the product and all copies of software as well as installation instructions. HP does not warrant customer-installed third-party software. HP assumes no responsibility for the use or reliability of HP software on equipment that is not furnished by HP. Your HP Server/HP Netserver warranty does not cover the following: · Products purchased from anyone other than HP or an authorized HP reseller · Non-HP products installed by unauthorized entities · Consumables, such as batteries · Customer-installed third-party software · Routine cleaning, or normal cosmetic and mechanical wear · Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or neglect · Damage caused by parts that were not manufactured or sold by HP · Damage caused when warranted parts were repaired or replaced by an organization other than HP or by a service provider not authorized by HP During the warranty period of the HP Netserver system processor unit, selected HP hardware components monitored by HP TopTools for Servers are eligible for the HP Pre-Failure Warranty. If a pre-established threshold is exceeded and your system has a warranty with parts coverage, HP will provide a new or refurbished part at no charge so that you may replace it in advance of failure. -11-

During the warranty period of the HP Netserver system
