Reverse this procedure to install the TouchPad. System board Table 5-9 TouchPad description and spare part number information Description ● System board equipped with an Intel Pentium N5000 1.10-GHz (SC turbo up to 2.70-GHz) quad core processor (2400-MHz FSB, 4.0-MB L2 cache, 6 W), an Intel UHD Graphics 605 graphics subsystem with UMA memory, and the Windows 10 operating system (includes processor and replacement thermal material) Spare part number L52048-601 Before removing the system board, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 23). 5. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 25). 6. Remove the solid-state drive (see Solid-state drive on page 29). When replacing the system board, be sure to remove the following components from the defective system board and install them on the replacement system board: ● WLAN module (see WLAN module on page 30) ● Heat sink (see Heat sink on page 37) ● Memory shield (see Memory shield on page 39) ● USB/audio board cable (see USB/audio board cable on page 40) Remove the system board: 1. Before removing the system board, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
