Power button board Description Power button board (includes cable) Spare part number 768010-001 Before removing the power button board, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the keyboard/top cover (see Keyboard/top cover on page 28). Remove the power button board: 1. Remove the PM1.9×2.4 broad head screw (1) that secures the power button board to the keyboard/ top cover. 2. Lift the front edge of the power button board (2) and swing it up until it disengages from the tab (3) on the keyboard/top cover. 3. Remove the power button board (4) and cable. Before removing the power button board, follow these steps:
1.

Remove the power button board:
1.
