7. Disconnect the display panel cable (3) from the display panel, and then remove the panel (4). Reverse this procedure to replace the panel. Remove the keyboard: 1. Remove the two Phillips screws that secure the keyboard to the computer. 2. Turn the computer right-side up with the front toward you. Open the display and stand the computer on its right side. Insert a thin tool through the keyboard access hole. 3. Turn the computer right-side up with the front toward you and open the display. 4. Gently slide your finger along the top edge of the keyboard to release the keyboard clips. Remove the top cover: 1. Remove the seven Phillips screws that secure the top cover to the base enclosure. 2. Disconnect the power button cable (1) and the TouchPad cable (2). 3. 4. Remove the eight Phillips screws from the bottom of the computer. 5. Turn the computer over and open the display. 6. Gently lift around the edges of the top cover (1) and lift to remove the top cover (2). power button board to the top cover. 3. Release the clips, lift the power button board (2), and carefully slide the power button cable out from the guides (3) to remove the power button board. Remove the four Phillips screws (1), and then remove the bracket (2) from the hard drive.
