If the password is not known, clear it by removing the RTC battery (located on the system board) as follows: 1. Turn off the computer. 2. Disconnect the AC Adapter. 3. Remove the Multimedia Expansion Unit. 4. Remove the battery pack. 5. Disconnect and remove the RTC battery. 6. Wait for five minutes. 7. Reconnect the RTC battery. 8. Reconnect the AC Adapter. Do not reinstall the battery pack yet. 9. Turn on the computer to verify that the power-on password has been cleared. If it has not been cleared, repeat all steps above. Clearing the power-on
password requires
