Heat Sink (Thermal Module) Description Heat sink (thermal module) Spare part number 665468-001 The heat sink is located at the top of the computer. It is mostly covered by the system board cover. It is secured with four captive screws near the processor and one non-captive screw on the opposite side near the fan. Figure 7-28 Heat sink location To remove the heat sink: 1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparing to Disassemble the Computer on page 33). 2. Remove the rear cover (see Rear Cover on page 34). 3. Remove the system board cover (see System Board Cover on page 49). 4. In the order indicated, loosen the four captive Torx screws (1) - (4) that secure the heat sink to the system board. 5.
