Spare part number Before removing the touchpad, follow these steps: 1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 29). 2. Remove the bottom cover (Bottom cover on page 29). 3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 30). Remove the touchpad: 1. Disconnect the cable from the ZIF connector on the touchpad (1). 2. Lift the protective shielding from the top of the touchpad (2). 3. Remove the four Phillips M2.0 × 3.0 screws (3) that secure the touchpad to the computer. 4. Remove the Phillips M1.6 × 2.0 screw (4) that secures the touchpad to the computer. 5. Remove the touchpad from the computer (5). Reverse this procedure to install the touchpad.
