Determining the SCSI ID Look at the output of dmesg to find out what SCSI channel number is used for each connection. Configuring on Linux systems No changes are needed to support DDS-format drives on Linux platforms, however you should ensure that you have the relevant drivers loaded. Latest SCSI and SAS controller drivers for Linux will be available from the manufacturer's web site. In order to communicate with a tape device, the operating system needs to have drivers for the tape and the underlying transport mechanism (the host bus adaptor) loaded. Determining the SCSI ID
Look at the output of
