Prerequisites Before beginning, make sure you are familiar with the items below. • Tape backup technologies, tape libraries, and backup software • LAN environments Before installing the appliance, make sure you have: • A Phillips screwdriver. • If racking is desired, an HP 10000 Series rack with one unit of space available to mount a VLS. Other racks might also be suitable, but have not been tested with the VLS.
