In order to use the VLS, backup hosts must be set up as iSCSI initiators. See Deploying iSCSI initiators for instructions on deploying iSCSI initiators. NOTE: The following process presents associating devices and backup hosts using the Microsoft iSCSI Software Initiator. The steps and screens may be different depending on the iSCSI solution on your system. The following steps show how to associate devices with backup hosts. 1. On the host you want to associate with the device being created, select Start > Microsoft iSCSI Initiator > Microsoft iSCSI Initiator. 2. The iSCSI Initiator Properties window displays.
