NOTE Figure 2-10 Installation Host Bus Adapters (HBAs) If you are attaching this server to a FC hub, proceed to step 9; otherwise, set the [InitAsNport] parameter in the Windows NT ™ registry as described in "How to Enable/Disable N_Port Support." 9. When the driver installation is complete, eject the HBA driver disk, then shut down your system in preparation for installing the adapter card. HBA Hardware Installing the adapter card into a PCI slot: 1. Power-off your host computer. 2. Remove the chassis cover from the host computer. 3. Locate an empty PCI expansion slot in your system, and remove the expansion slot cover. (Save the slot cover screw.) 4. Insert the adapter card into the slot until it is firmly seated, and replace the slot cover screw. 5. Replace the computer chassis cover.
