Connecting to a Novell NetWare 5.0 Server Microsoft Windows 98 2nd edition 8 Connecting to a Novell NetWare 5.0 Server Microsoft Windows 98 Requirements 2nd edition Operating System Driver Version Driver File Server OS Client OS Windows 98 2nd edition 5.12.00.0050 Ibmtrp.sys NetWare 5.0 Server Novell Procedure 1 With the HP Vectra turned off, install the network adapter into a PCI slot. 2 Connect the network cable to the newly installed network adapter. 3 Power on the machine and boot to Windows 98. 4 Windows 98 will detect the network adapter as "IBM PCI Token Ring Adapter, NDIS4" during start up and automatically install its embedded driver. 5 Click on "Yes" when Windows 98 prompts to restart the system. 6 From the Device Manager, update the IBM driver by clicking on "Update Driver..." on the Driver tab of the "IBM PCI Token Ring Adapter" properties. 7 Insert the driver disk and click on "Next" to continue the installation. 8 Select "Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location, so you can select the driver you want." and click "Next". 9 Click on "Have Disk", type in the location of the driver, and click on "OK". 10 Accept the network adapter model found-"IBM PCI Token-Ring Adapter" and click on "OK". 11 Accept the new driver by clicking on "Next". 12 Click on "Finish" when the driver installation is complete. 15
