Product Information System Unit Rear Panel Connectors Audio Connectors The Model B1000 and C3000 workstations have audio-input and -output capabilities through external input and output connectors on the rear panel and through an internal speaker. The sound is 16-bit, 44 kHz (CD-quality). The rear panel contains the Audio IN (Stereo line-in) and Microphone (Mic-in), and Audio OUT (Stereo line-out) and Headphones (headphone-out) connectors. This workstation also has a mono internal speaker. The audio connectors are standard stereo audio mini-jacks (see Figure 1-6). NOTE Hewlett-Packard recommends using gold-plated plugs available through audio retailers for best quality recording and playback through the external connectors. Figure 1-6.
