Lock Release Figure 4L - Manual Recline Lever Seatback Adjustment for 22" Reclining Back Seat - The 22 inch seat has a heavy duty, dual hinge mechanism that allows you to adjust the seatback from the right or left side. The seatback release has two modes - one to recline or raise the seatback and one to release the seatback to allow it to fold forward for storage or transport. The seat can be reclined or folded from the upright back position only. Adjusting The Recline - To recline the seat from the straight up position (see Figure 4M below), locate the release lever on the lower right or left rear of the seat. Pull up on the lever to lock the seatback in position (see Figure 4N page 38). Make sure the release lever is locked in position before applying weight to back or arms.
