Parameters and Configurations Printer parameters are settings such as lines per inch (lpi), characters per inch (cpi), and typeface. A configuration is a group of parameters. For example: • 8 lpi • 10 cpi • Data processing typeface, etc. Changing Parameters You can change a parameter by pressing keys on the operator panel or by sending a control code from the host computer. The parameter is active as long as the printer is on and a reset from the host or a "soft reset" (START and ENTER keys are pressed) from the operator panel is not performed.
