Setting the V-Chip An age limitation can be set to restrict children from viewing or hearing violent scenes or picture that you may choose to exclude. The restriction applies to "TV RATING" and "MOVIE RATING" if this data is transmitted. You may set this restriction separately. To use the V-Chip function, you must register a password. To register a password 1 Press MENU. The menu screen will appear. Then press or to select LOCKS menu. LOCKS V-CHIP SET F RO N T PA N E L L O C K N E W PA S S WO R D 2 Press ▲ or ▼ to display the password entering mode. :SELECT LOCKS NEW PASSWORD :ADJUST 3 Enter the password (4 digits) using number buttons (0-9), then press ENTER. SELECT : [0-9] LOCKS NEW PASSWORD SET : ENTER END : EXIT 4 Enter the same password again to confirm, then press ENTER. The password is now registered and the V-Chip menu will appear on the screen. SELECT : [0-9] SET : ENTER END : EXIT " " appears instead of the number. LOCKS CONFIRM PASSWORD SELECT : [0-9] SET : ENTER END : EXIT NOTES: • If you forget the password, con tact Customer Service at 1-877467-4289 for assistance.
