Insignia NS-ES6112 CD Shelf System with iPod® Dock Making connections Connecting the AC adapter Make sure that the AC power outlet matches the AC adapter's power specifications (100-240 V ~, 50/60 Hz) prior to plugging in the adapter. To connect the AC adapter: 1 Complete all other connections. 2 Plug the small DC power connector into the DC IN jack on the back of your shelf system. 3 Connect one end of the AC power cord to the adapter, then plug the other end into an AC power outlet. Note Use only the AC adapter supplied with your sheld system, which has the following specifications: DC 12 V 3.33 A Unplug the adapter from the power outlet when not in use. Connecting the speakers Your shelf system comes with two (2) speaker cables with bare, soldered wires at each end. To connect the speakers: 1 Press the lever on the red (+) jack on the back of one speaker, then insert one end of the red speaker cable into the jack. 2 Press the lever on one of the red (+) jacks on the back of your shelf system, then insert the other end of the red speaker cable into the jack. 3 Repeat Step 1 and Step 2 to connect the black speaker cable to the black (-) jacks on the speaker and the back of your shelf system. 4 Repeat Steps 1 through 3 to connect the other speaker. Connecting an iPod® Your shelf system came with six iPod® holders. Make sure that you select the correct holder for the iPod® you are connecting.
