SAFETY and PRECAUTIONS 6.7 Cu. Ft. Front-Load Electric and Gas Dryers IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS This User Guide contains important information on the installation, use, and care of your dryer. Please read this guide carefully before installing and operating your dryer to prevent injury and property damage. The Warnings and Important Safety Instructions in this guide do not cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. You are responsible for using common sense, caution, and care when you install, operate, and maintain your dryer. CAUTION RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK DO NOT OPEN WARNING This indicates that hazards or unsafe practices may cause serious personal injury or death. To reduce the risk of fire, explosion, electric shock, or personal injury when using your dryer, you SHOULD follow these basic safety precautions. State of California Proposition 65 Warnings The California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act requires the Governor of California to publish a list of substances known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm, and requires businesses to warn of potential exposure to such substances. This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. This appliance can cause low-level exposure to some of the substances listed, including benzene, formaldehyde, and carbon monoxide. WARNING Do not store or use gasoline or other flammable vapors and liquids in the vicinity of this or any other appliance. WHAT TO DO IF YOU SMELL GAS: • Do not try to light any appliance. • Do not touch any electrical switch; • Do not use any phone in your building. • Clear the room, building, or area of all occupants. • Immediately call your gas supplier from a neighbor 's phone.
