Insignia NS-R2000 Stereo Receiver Listening to FM stereo broadcasts To listen to FM stereo broadcasts: • While listening to an FM broadcast, press the FM MODE button. Recording on AUX To record on the auxiliary device: 1 Select the recording input source (this cannot be AUX). OR OR Note Each time this button is pressed, the FM mode changes as follows: • Stereo mode-ST lights up • Mono mode-ST turns off. Note If an FM stereo broadcast is poor due to a weak broadcast signal, select the FM mono mode to reduce the noise. The FM broadcasts are reproduced in monaural sound. Recording Notes • The volume, tone (bass and treble), and balance settings have no effect on the recording signals. • When you select tuner, CD, or PHONO as a recording source, recording may be made on TAPE or AUX, or both simultaneously. Recording on tape To record on tape: 1 Select the recording input source (this cannot be TAPE). OR 2 Start recording on the auxiliary device. 3 Start play on your input device. Using the sleep timer The sleep timer automatically turns the receiver off after a specified period of time. To use the sleep timer: • Press the SLEEP button to specify the amount of time you want the receiver to play. OR Each time this button is pressed, the time changes as follows: • 10 minutes • 20 minutes • 30 minutes • 60 minutes • 90 minutes • OFF Note While operating the sleep timer, the lights up. 2 Start recording on the tape recorder. 3 Start play on your input device. 12 www.insignia-products.com
