Using the BIOS Setup Program Boot Menu Maintenance Main Advanced Security Power Boot Exit The menu shown in Table 23 is used to set the boot features and the boot sequence. Table 23. Boot Menu Feature Silent Boot Options • Disabled • Enabled (default) Description Disabled displays normal POST messages. Enabled displays OEM logo instead of POST messages. Intel Rapid BIOS Boot Scan User Flash Area PXE Boot to LAN USB Boot Boot Device Priority Hard Disk Drives Removable Devices ATAPI CD-ROM Drives • Disabled Allows BIOS to skip certain tests while booting. • Enabled (default) • Disabled Enables the BIOS to scan the flash ROM for user binary • Enabled (default) files that are executed at boot time. • Disabled (default) Disables or enables PXE boot to LAN. • Enabled • Disabled Disables or enables booting to USB boot devices. • Enabled (default) [Enter] Specifies the boot sequence from the available types of boot devices.
