Desktop Board Features ENERGY STAR* Capable In 2007, the US Department of Energy and the US Environmental Protection Agency revised the ENERGY STAR requirements. Intel worked directly with these two governmental agencies to define the new requirements. Currently Intel Desktop Boards are capable of meeting the new ENERGY STAR requirements depending upon system configuration. The speaker provides audible error code (beep code) information during the Power-On Self-Test (POST). Battery A battery on the Desktop Board keeps the values in CMOS RAM and the clock current when the computer is turned off. Go to page 59 for instructions on how to replace the battery.
