Function of KCA-BT200 (Optional Accessory) SMS (Short Message Service) Displaying the SMS The SMS received by at the cell-phone is displayed on the receiver. A newly received message is displayed. ¤ • To prevent car accidents, the driver should not read the SMS while driving. When a new message arrives "SMS Received" is displayed. The display disappears with any operations. Displaying the SMS 1 Enter Bluetooth mode Press the [FNC] button for at least 1 second. "BT MODE" is displayed. 2 Enter Function setting mode Press the [FNC] button. 3 Select SMS Inbox mode The item can be selected and determined as follows. "Settings" ➜ "SMS Inbox" To select the item, turn the Control knob. To determine the item, press the [ENTER] button. 4 Select a message Turn the Control knob. Each press of the [S.MODE] button switches between displaying the telephone number or name and message reception date. 5 Display the text Press the [ENTER] button. Turn the Control knob to scroll through the message. Press the [ENTER] button to return to the message list screen. 6 Exit Bluetooth mode Press the [SRC] button. ⁄ • The unopened message is displayed at the beginning of the list. Other messages are displayed in the order of reception. • The SMS that are received when the cell-phone is not linked with Bluetooth cannot be displayed. Download the SMS. • The short message cannot be displayed during downloading the SMS. Downloading the SMS Download the short message (SMS) received by the cell-phone so that it can be read on this unit. 1 Enter Bluetooth mode Press the [FNC] button for at least 1 second. When the downloading finishes, "Completed" is displayed. 5 Exit Bluetooth mode Press the [SRC] button. ⁄ • The cell-phone must be able to transmit the SMS using Bluetooth. Setting on the cell-phone may be required. If the cell-phone does not support SMS function, the SMS download item in Function Control mode is not displayed. • When the SMS is downloaded from the cell-phone, the unopened messages in the cell-phone are opened. • The up to 75 already-read and unread short messages respectively can be downloaded. Displaying the SMS
The SMS received by at the cell-phone is displayed
on the receiver.
A newly received message is displayed.

To prevent car accidents, the driver should not read the
SMS while driving.

Enter Bluetooth mode
Press the [FNC] button for at least 1 second.
“BT MODE” is displayed.

Press the [FNC] button.

The item can be selected and determined as
follows.
”Settings”
“SMS Inbox”
To select the item, turn the Control knob. To
determine the item, press the [ENTER] button.

Select a message
Turn the Control knob.
Each press of the [S.MODE] button switches
between displaying the telephone number or
name and message reception date.

Display the text
Press the [ENTER] button.
Turn the Control knob to scroll through the
message.
Press the [ENTER] button to return to the message
list screen.

Exit Bluetooth mode
Press the [SRC] button.

Downloading the SMS
Download the short message (SMS) received by the
cell-phone so that it can be read on this unit.
