3 Select [Clear Group] and press [A/B]. The clear group selection screen appears. 4 Select the group to clear. 5 Press [ENT]. Each press adds or removes a check mark. 6 Press [A/B]. The group clear confirmation screen appears. • To end the operation without clearing the group, press [MODE] to return to the previous screen. 7 Press [A/B]. The specified group is cleared. If check marks are added to check boxes, multiple groups can be cleared simultaneously. Memory Group Names A name can be assigned to each of the 30 memory groups. You can assign a group name of up to 16 half-width characters (or 8 full-width characters). 1 Access Menu No. 201. The name edit group selection screen appears. 2 Select a group and press [A/B]. The group name input screen appears. The memory group name is registered and the frequency screen reappears. MEMORY SHIFT Shift the contents of a memory channel or CALL channel to VFO. Shifting Memory from the Frequency Screen 1 Press [MR] or [CALL] to enter Memory Recall mode or CALL channel mode. 2 Recall your desired memory channel to shift to VFO. (This step is not necessary when selecting the CALL channel.) 3 Press [F], [VFO]. The memory channel is copied to VFO. • The entire contents of the Memory channel or CALL channel are copied to the VFO, and VFO mode is selected after the transfer is complete. • When copying a transmit frequency from an odd-split Memory or CALL channel, you must first turn the Reverse function on before pressing [F], [VFO]. Shifting Memory from the Memory Channel List 1 Press [MR] to enter Memory Recall mode. 2 Press [ENT]. The memory channel list screen appears. 3 Select the memory channel to shift to VFO. 4 Press [MENU]. The memory channel list menu appears. 5 Select [Memory Shift (M>V)] and press [A/B]. The memory channel is copied to VFO and switches to VFO mode. Shifting Memory from the CALL channel List 1 Access Menu No. 204. 2 Select a CALL channel. 3 Press [MENU]. The CALL channel list menu appears. 3 Edit the group name. 4 Press [ENT]. 4 Select [Memory Shift (M>V)]. 5 Press [A/B]. The memory channel is copied to VFO. 8-5
