If check marks are added to check boxes, multiple groups can be cleared simultaneously. Memory Group Names A name can be assigned to each of the 30 memory groups. You can assign a group name of up to 16 half-width characters (or 8 full-width characters). 1 Access Menu No. 201. The name edit group selection screen appears. 2 Select a group and press [A/B]. The group name input screen appears. The memory group name is registered and the frequency screen reappears. MEMORY SHIFT Shift the contents of a memory channel or CALL channel to VFO. Shifting Memory from the Frequency Screen 1 Press [MR] or [CALL] to enter Memory Recall mode or CALL channel mode. 2 Recall your desired memory channel to shift to VFO. (This step is not necessary when selecting the CALL channel.) 3 Press [F], [VFO]. The memory channel is copied to VFO. • The entire contents of the Memory channel or CALL channel are copied to the VFO, and VFO mode is selected after the transfer is complete. • When copying a transmit frequency from an odd-split Memory or CALL channel, you must first turn the Reverse function on before pressing [F], [VFO].
