AUDIO EQUALIZER (TX/RX) This function turns on or off the equalizer setting for transmission and receiving. 1 Access Menu No. 911. 2 Select an item and press [ENT]. 3 Press [A/B]. Check to turn on the equalizer function. Uncheck to turn off the function. RX EQ: Receiving Equalizer Turns On/Off the equalizer function of the received voice. TX EQ (FM, NFM): Transmission Equalizer (Analog Voice) Turns On/Off the equalizer function of the analog transmitted voice. TX EQ (DV): Transmission Equalizer (Digital Voice) Turns On/Off the equalizer function of the digital transmitted voice. RX Equalizer Change the received voice frequency characteristic. The frequency characteristic of the received voice can be set to the below levels for each of five frequency points. TX Equalizer This function changes the transmission voice frequency characteristic. The frequency characteristic of the voice to be transmitted can be set to the below levels for each of four frequency band. Note: ◆◆ The upper limit of the digital audio bandwidth is 4 kHz. For this reason, if the demodulation mode is DV/DR mode, the setting of 6.4 kHz are not reflected in the received voice. KEY BEEP You can set the transceiver beep function to [Off] or [On]. 1 Access Menu No. 914. 3 Select a level, then press [A/B]. 4 Press [MENU]. 2 Select [On] or [Off]. Note: ◆◆ Even with the beep function turned off, the transceiver will beep 1 minute before the power turns off when Auto Power off is activated. ◆◆ After transmitting for the maximum time duration according to the Time-out Timer, the transceiver will beep. 12-9

AUDIO EQUALIZER (TX/RX)
This function turns on or off the equalizer setting for
transmission and receiving.

Check to turn on the equalizer function. Uncheck to turn
off the function.
RX EQ:
Receiving Equalizer
Turns On/Off the equalizer function of the received voice.
TX EQ (FM, NFM):
Transmission Equalizer (Analog Voice)
Turns On/Off the equalizer function of the analog
transmitted voice.
TX EQ (DV):
Transmission Equalizer (Digital Voice)
Turns On/Off the equalizer function of the digital
transmitted voice.
TX Equalizer
This function changes the transmission voice frequency
characteristic. The frequency characteristic of the voice to
be transmitted can be set to the below levels for each of four
frequency band.

Note:
