Setting by Local CQ 1 Press [ ] (1s). The destination selection screen appears. This screen also appears when selecting [Destination Select] in the Digital Function Menu. 2 Select [Local CQ] and press [ENT]. CQCQCQ is set to [TO]. Setting by Gateway CQ 1 Press [ ] (1s). [Reflector Info.]: You can send the reflector information command. Select [Reflector Info.] and press [ENT]. Then [_______I] is set to [TO]. Then press [PTT] to transmit the reflector information command. After releasing [PTT], ID will be sent from the repeater. Note: ◆◆ When you want to add a simplex DV Access Point's frequency information in the repeater list (Menu No.210) for using the DR mode Reflector menu above, input the DV Access Point's "Callsign" and "Gateway", or the string "DIRECT" both for [Callsign (RPT1)] and [Gateway (RPT2)] entry fields. Follow the recommended settings for the DV Access Point. Please refer to page No. 16-14 "Adding the Repeater List" for details. The destination selection screen appears. This screen also appears when selecting [Destination Select] in the Digital Function Menu. 2 Select [Gateway CQ] and press [ENT]. The repeater list selection screen appears. 3 Select the destination repeater and press [ENT]. The repeater is set to [TO]. Setting by Call History 1 Press [ ] (1s). The destination selection screen appears. This screen also appears when selecting [Destination Select] in the Digital Function Menu. 2 Select [Call History] and press [ENT]. The Callsign list appears. Setting by Individual 1 Press [ ] (1s). 3 Select the destination Callsign and press [ENT]. The selected Callsign is set to [TO]. The destination selection screen appears. This screen also appears when selecting [Destination Select] in the Digital Function Menu. 2 Select [Individual] and press [ENT]. The Callsign list appears. 3 Select the Callsign and press [ENT]. The selected Callsign is set to [TO]. Setting by Direct Input (URCALL) 1 Press [ ] (1s). The destination selection screen appears. This screen also appears when selecting [Destination Select] in the Digital Function Menu. 2 Select [Direct Input(URCALL)] and press [ENT]. The direct input screen appears. Setting by Reflector 1 Press [ ] (1s). The destination selection screen appears. This screen also appears when selecting [Destination Select] in the Digital Function Menu. 2 Select [Reflector] and press [ENT]. 3 Enter the destination Callsign and press [ENT]. The destination Callsign is set to [TO]. Note: ◆◆ When entering the destination Callsign by direct input (URCALL), the route setting is not automatically set. Please be sure to set the route setting by [Route Select] in the Digital Function Menu then. The Reflector menu item appears. 3 Select the following items and press [ENT]. [Use Reflector]: If your repeater is currently linked to a reflector, select [Use Reflector] and press [ENT]. [CQCQCQ] is set to [TO]. Then press [PTT] to transmit your digital voice signal to the reflector. [Link to Reflector]: If you want to link the repeater to a reflector, or you want to change to another reflector, select [Link to Reflector] and press [ENT]. Input the reflector's type (REF/DCS/XRF/XLX), number (000 to 999) and module (A to Z), and press [ENT]. A link command (example: [REF001CL]) is set to [TO]. Then press [PTT] to link the repeater to the reflector. (Press and hold [ / ] for 2 seconds to fast forward / reverse the reflector's number.)Up to 5 reflectors you linked before are shown when you select [Link to Reflector] again. [Unlink Reflector]: If you want to link the repeater to another reflector, be sure to unlink currently linked reflector. Select [Unlink Reflector] and press [ENT]. [_______U] is set to [TO]. Then press [PTT] to unlink the repeater from the reflector. Setting EMR 1 Press [ ] (1s). The destination selection screen appears. This screen also appears when selecting [Destination Select] in the Digital Function Menu. 2 Select [EMR] and press [ENT]. The EMR is set. CHECKING THE CALLSIGN SETTING You can check transmission settings of DV/DR mode before transmission. 1 Select [CS Setting] in the Digital Function Menu. The confirmation screen appears. [Echo Test]: You can verify how well your digital voice signal is getting into the system. Select [Echo Test] and press [ENT]. Then [_______E] is set to [TO]. Then press [PTT] to transmit your digital voice signal to the system. After releasing [PTT], echo back will be sent back from the repeater. 2 Press [A/B]. Each press switches between name display and Callsign display. 16-8
