Problem Scan Station will not scan/feed documents No images are being displayed Roller marks appear on the document after scanning Images have black background bleedthrough Unsuccessful fax delivery Touchscreen unresponsive Possible Solution Make sure that: • the power cord is plugged securely into the back of Scan Station and the wall outlet. • the power switch is on. • the wall outlet is not defective (call a licensed electrician). • document(s) is making contact with the feed rollers. If you are scanning one-sided documents, be sure the side you want to scan is facing the input tray (not facing you). For more information, see the section entitled, "Getting your documents ready to scan" in Chapter 2. Clean the rollers. See the procedures in Chapter 7, Maintenance in the Administrator's Guide. When scanning translucent documents, black bleed-through may be displayed on the image. To minimize this, adjust the Contrast value on the Black and White Adjustments screen. • Verify that your return email address is configured correctly. • Be sure the fax number that you are sending to is correct. Once the fax number is verified, try again. If errors persist, contact your administrator. • Be sure the Scan Station is plugged in and turned on. • If there is an A3/A4 Flatbed attached and it is unplugged when the Scan Station is running, the touchscreen may be unresponsive. Power button
indicators
The power button acts as an indicator light in addition to powering up
the Scan Station. Use this chart to help determine the status of the
Scan Station.
Problem

Scan Station will not scan/feed
documents
Make sure that:
• the power cord is plugged securely into the back of Scan Station and

through
When scanning translucent documents, black bleed-through may be
displayed on the image. To minimize this, adjust the Contrast value on

Unsuccessful fax delivery
• Verify that your return email address is configured correctly.
Be sure the fax number that you are sending to is correct. Once the fax
number is verified, try again. If errors persist, contact your
administrator.
Touchscreen unresponsive
• Be sure the Scan Station is plugged in and turned on.
• If there is an A3/A4 Flatbed attached and it is unplugged when the
Scan Station is running, the touchscreen may be unresponsive.
