3.6 PDF Encryption and Signature Addition using PKI Card 3 3.6 PDF Encryption and Signature Addition using PKI Card 3.6.1 Overview This function encrypts a PDF document and adds a signature using the digital certificate registered in the PKI card when distributing scanned data as a PDF document. Encrypting a PDF document prevents third parties from illegally viewing data. Furthermore, adding a signature identifies the author of a PDF document and guarantees that the file has not been fabricated. PKI Card Encryption + Digital Signature Tips - The optional i-Option LK-102 v3 or i-Option LK-110 v2 is required to use the PDF document encryption function using the PKI card. - This function is not available when you log in to the MFP as a public user, administrator, administrative user, or User Box administrator. Overview
This function encrypts a PDF document and adds a signature using the digital certificate registered in the PKI
card when distributing scanned data as a PDF document.

Tips

is required to use the PDF document encryp-
