5-3 Turning the Scanner ON and OFF Turning on 1 Check that the Scanner is connected to the personal computer with the interface cable and turn the Scanner's power switch on ("|" position). Operation Chapter 5 NOTE Turn the scanner on before turning on the personal computer. 2 [Welcome to PS7000. Initializing] appears on the display and the start key turns red. The Scanner can be operated when the start key turns green. Start key NOTE When the SCSI cable is not connected properly, Images cannot be loaded if the PC interface cable is not connected properly. When the message [Start Appli./Driver] appears on the display, turn the personal computer on and start the Driver. Refer to "Start-up" on page 3-7, or 4-5 for details on starting the Driver. When the message [Printer is OFF. Turn Printer ON] appears on the display, change the [Connect] setting in [Initial] to [PC] in Utility mode. Refer to page 5-47 for details.
