4.1 To begin operation 4 Network settings An IP address must be assigned to the machine and settings, such as the SMTP server, must be specified in order to use the machine on the network. For the detailed procedure, refer to the [User's Guide Administrator Operations]. Specifying an E-mail address for this machine An E-mail address must be registered to this machine to send scanned data via E-mail. This E-mail address is used for sending/receiving data. It is recommended that the E-mail address registered for the administrator be used. If the E-mail address registered for this machine is not specified, the From address must be entered for each Scan to E-mail operation. Note that Scan to E-mail operations are not possible if a From address is not entered. To begin operation

Network settings

An IP address must be assigned to the machine and settings, such as the SMTP server, must be specified in

order to use the machine on the network. For the detailed procedure, refer to the [User's Guide Administrator

Operations].

Specifying an E-mail address for this machine

An E-mail address must be registered to this machine to send scanned data via E-mail. This E-mail address

is used for sending/receiving data. It is recommended that the E-mail address registered for the administrator

be used.

If the E-mail address registered for this machine is not specified, the From address must be entered for each

Scan to E-mail operation. Note that Scan to E-mail operations are not possible if a From address is not en-

tered.
