Replacing a processor Make sure the processor is fully seated in its socket and that the goal post latches are engaged. Important: 1. Make sure the air baffle is installed to prevent processor overheating. 2. If the processor is not installed correctly, the system board and the processor can be damaged. Replacing the speaker To replace the speaker, do the following: 1. Remove the cover (see "Removing the cover" on page 19). 2. Remove the hard drive bracket (see "Installing a hard drive in bay 4" on page 24). 3. Slide the speaker up to remove it from the bracket. Replacing the fan To replace the fan, do the following: 1. Remove the cover (see "Removing the cover" on page 19). 2. Remove the hard drive bracket (see "Installing a hard drive in bay 4" on page 24). 3. Remove the fan from the bracket. Power supply If the power-on indicator is not on, the power supply fan is not running, or the computer will not power-off, use the following procedures. Check/Verify Check the following for proper installation. v Power Cord v On/Off Switch connector v On/Off Switch Power Supply connector v System Board Power Supply connectors v Microprocessor(s) connection Check the power-on switch for continuity. Replacing a processor
Make sure the processor is fully seated in its socket and that the goal post latches
are engaged.
Important:
1.
Make sure the air baffle is installed to prevent processor overheating.
2.
If the processor is not installed correctly, the system board and the processor can be
damaged.
Replacing the speaker
To replace the speaker, do the following:
1.
Remove the cover (see

on page 19).
2.
Remove the hard drive bracket (see

24).
3.
Slide the speaker up to remove it from the bracket.
Replacing the fan
To replace the fan, do the following:

Power supply
If the power-on indicator is not on, the power supply fan is not running, or the
