4. Remove the PCI riser from the computer by pulling straight up on the blue handle provided. 5. Pivot the blue adapter latch upward and remove the failing adapter. 6. Remove the new adapter from its static-protective package. 7. Install the new adapter into the PCI connector in the riser. 8. Pivot the adapter latch down to retain the adapter. 9. Reinstall the PCI riser assembly into the system board. 10. Replace all cables that were removed from the cable clip on the PCI riser. 11. Go to "Completing the FRU replacement." on page 104.
