11. Install the hard disk drive cage into the chassis until it snaps into position underneath the metal tab. Make sure that the hard disk drive cage release button is secured in the chassis. Note: The front fan assembly is only available in some models. To replace the front fan assembly, do the following: 1. Turn off the computer and disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets. 2. Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the computer cover" on page 79. 3. Remove the front bezel. See "Removing and reinstalling the front bezel" on page 80. 4. Make sure that the hard disk drive cage release button is secured in the chassis.

Note:

The front fan assembly is only available in some models.

To replace the front fan assembly, do the following:

1. Turn off the computer and disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets.

2. Remove the computer cover. See “Removing the computer cover” on page 79.

3. Remove the front bezel. See “Removing and reinstalling the front bezel” on page 80.

4. Disconnect the front fan assembly cable from the power fan connector on the system board. See

“Locating parts on the system board” on page 77.
