To exit the loop, keep pressing Ctrl+Pause until the test exits. A beep sounds to notify that the exit interrupt is sensed by the test program. Press Esc to exit from the loop test. 9. Press Esc to exit from the test. For ThinkPad 76x series: 1. Press and hold F1; then power on the computer. Hold F1 down until the Easy-Setup screen appears. 2. Select Test and press Enter. 3. Select a device and press Enter to run the test. The test progress window appears. OK appears when the test ends without any errors. 4. Start the advanced diagnostic test by pressing Ctrl+A on the basic diagnostic menu. 5. Do one of the following: - Select Tool for the test using tools. To select multiple devices, press the Spacebar. A √ mark appears beside the selected devices. Press Enter to start the test. - Select Test All and press Enter to test all devices. - Select Loop Test to run the tests in a repeated loop. The loop test window appears when you can select a device. Press the Spacebar to select a device. Repeat this step to select multiple devices. Press Enter to start the loop test. If no device is selected, all device tests are looped. To exit the loop, keep pressing Ctrl+Pause until the test exits. Error Log: Diagnostic errors are printed on a printer that is attached to the parallel port when the error is detected. The error is also logged in the system memory. Use the following procedure to display the errors: 1. Enter the advanced diagnostic test. 2. Press Ctrl+E. 3. The error log appears. 4. To exit the screen, click on Exit or press Esc key.
