Troubleshooting When your printer has a problem, first make sure: • The power supply is plugged into your printer and an electrical outlet. • The USB cable is securely attached to your computer and your printer. • Your computer is turned on. • Your printer is turned on. • The sticker and transparent tape covering the bottom of the cartridge are removed. If the status light on your printer is blinking, there may be a paper jam, the printer may be out of paper, or the cartridge carrier may have stalled. If the paper is lodged too far into the printer and cannot be removed: 1 Press the Power button to turn the printer off. 2 Pull firmly on the paper to remove it. If you cannot reach the paper because it is too far into the printer: a Open the cartridge door and pull the paper out. b Close the cartridge door. 3 Press the Power button to turn the printer on, and then send your document to print. 15

Troubleshooting
When your printer has a problem, first make sure:

The USB cable is securely attached to your computer and your printer.
Your computer is turned on.
Your printer is turned on.
The sticker and transparent tape covering the bottom of the cartridge
are removed.

Remove the paper from the printer. If the paper is lodged too far into the
printer and cannot be removed:

Press the Power button to turn the printer off.

Pull firmly on the paper to remove it.
If you cannot reach the paper because it is too far into the printer:

Open the cartridge door and pull the paper out.

document to print.
