More on Entering Numbers & Letters As described above, after pressing "edit", the menu will display "Enter Speed Dial Number 1" and the curser will flash below it. To enter a number or a letter, press the button desired. Selecting a number or letters works the same in Speed Dial as it does with entering a Directory entry. For example, press "2", and the letter "A" will appear. Every 2 seconds, the cursor flashes. If the "2" is NOT pressed again before the curser flashes, the phone will accept the "A" as the entry and move to the next position. To obtain a different letter/number associated with the "2" for example "b" or "c", then press "2" again before the curser flashes. The number "2", or the capital letters "A", "B", C" can also be obtained by pressing the "2" again. For other letters, please look at the keypad i.e. the "3" button can be used to enter "d", "e", "f", the number "3", or the capital letters "D", "E", "F".
