CHAPTER 3 AMI® BIOS USER’S GUIDE Offboard PCI IDE Card This option specifies if an offboard PCI IDE controller adapter card is installed in the computer. You must specify the PCI expansion slot on the mainboard where the offboard PCI IDE controller is installed. If an offboard PCI IDE controller is used, the onboard IDE controller is automatically disabled. The settings are Auto(AMI® BIOS automatically determines where the offboard PCI IDE controller adaper card is installed), Slot1, Slot2, Slot3 or Slot4. The Optimal and Fail-Safe settings are Auto. If an offboard PCI IDE controller adapter card is installed in the computer, you must also set the Offboard PCI IDE Primary IRQ and Offboard PCI IDE Secondary IRQ options. Offboard PCI IDE Primary IRQ/ Offboard PCI IDE Secondary IRQ These options specify the PCI interrupt used by the Primary (or Secondary) IDE channel on the offboard PCI IDE controller. The settings are Disabled, Hardwired, INTA, INTB, INTC or INTD. The Optimal and Fail-Safe default settings are Disabled. Assign IRQ to PCI VGA Choose the IRQ to be assigned to the PCI VGA display adapter card. Offboard PCI IDE Card
This option specifies if an offboard PCI IDE controller adapter card
is installed in the computer.
You must specify the PCI expansion slot on the
mainboard where the offboard PCI IDE controller is installed.
