Chapter 1 MS-7760 Fan Power Connectors: CPUFAN1,SYSFAN1~4 The fan power connectors support system cooling fans with +12V. If the mainboard has a System Hardware Monitor chipset on-board, you must use a specially designed fan with a speed sensor to take advantage of the CPU fan control. Remember to connect all system fans. Some system fans may not connect to the mainboard and will instead connect to the power supply directly. A system fan can be plugged into any available system fan connector. The Control Center II utility can be installed to automatically control the fan speeds according to the CPU's and system's temperature. • If there are not enough ports on the mainboard to connect all system fans, adapters are available to connect a fan directly to a power supply. • Before first boot up, ensure that there are no cables impeding any fan blades. 1-27

The fan power connectors support system cool±ng fans w±th +12V. If the ma±nboard has
a System Hardware Mon±tor ch±pset on-board, you must use a spec±ally des±gned fan
w±th a speed sensor to take advantage of the CPU fan control.
Remember to connect
all system fans. Some system fans may not connect to the ma±nboard and w±ll ±nstead
connect to the power supply d±rectly. A system fan can be plugged ±nto any ava±lable
system fan connector.
