If possible use the digital connection; usually this will result in better sound quality. See "Reassigning a source selection" on how to use the digital connectors of the receiver. Because of a different kind of output signal, the use of Dolby Digital Laserdisc requires an optional AC-3 RF demodulator. consequently cannot be decoded and played back inside most CD, LD, or DVD players.
